Honey Mustard Dressing Recipe

Summer meals usually include a lot of vegetables, especially when the garden is bountiful. One of my favorite things to make to accompany all our vegetables is homemade salad dressing. Homemade dressings are easy to make, cheaper than store bought, and allows you to avoid all the extra additives. As a household with allergies, I often try to make things from scratch. When I make things from scratch, I can easily eliminate ingredients we can’t eat.

Today I am going to share my homemade mayonnaise, and homemade honey mustard dressing recipes with you. I will also share a whole list of ideas on how you can use the honey mustard dressing. By the end of this blog, you may just want to double the honey mustard dressing recipe

Notes

* I use an asparagus jar which is the pint & half size. These jars are a little harder to find and tend to come in a case of 9 instead of 12. If you don’t have these, you can use a wide-mouthed pint or a quart size jar.

How to Make Honey Mustard Dressing

Honey mustard is a great dipping sauce for fresh veggies and chicken strips, as a salad dressing on your greens, or drizzled over stir fried or grilled vegetables. Another great way to use this sauce is as a replacement for barbecue sauce on grilled meats like chicken. One of my favorite uses for this salad dressing is on a crispy chicken salad and drizzled over grilled veggies. This can easily be whipped up the next time you make a salad or want an easy sauce for veggies or chicken.

A Few More Summertime Recipes

I made dinner for Mike and myself the other night using my new HexClad Wok. I stir fried sausage, onions, peppers, zucchinis, and a little garlic. This was served over rice drizzled with my honey mustard dressing. It was a delightful meal. Check out this video of the meal coming together.

Summer provides such a variety of wonderful fruits and vegetables. Here are a few more of my favorite summertime recipes.

  • Cool down this summer with my Watermelon Cucumber drink.
  • Want to try another easy salad dressing? Try Mike’s Pretty Basic Salad Dressing.
