Equipment

Materials

  • Grapes, cut into smaller clusters
  • 10 c. Cool Water
  • ¼ c. Distilled White Vinegar

Instructions

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Cut the large bunches of grapes into smaller "grape clusters", leaving the grapes on the stems.
  • Place grape clusters in a large bowl.
  • Fill the large bowl with 10 c. of cool water and ¼ c. of Distilled White Vinegar.
  • Set a timer for 2 minutes. Do not soak for longer than 2 minutes.
  • When the timer goes off, rinse the grapes in a colander to remove any remaining debris.

DRYING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Lay the grapes in a single layer on a large clean towel to air dry until they are bone dry. This will take a few hours.

STORING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • When your grapes are bone dry, store them in an airtight glass container with a paper towel in the bottom to absorb excess moisture.
I prefer storing grapes in a gallon size glass jar, but any airtight glass container will do.

Notes

It is normal for some condensation to build up inside of your airtight container. You can simply remove the lid and wipe out the excess moisture with a paper towel or clean towel.
